🚧 As summer begins, Longview ISD’s 2024 bond program is hitting its stride—with real construction, real savings, and real momentum to show for it: https://w3.lisd.org/district/news/06122025-bond

Our Inclusion and Resource Classroom wrapped up the school year with a splash! We celebrated all the incredible hard work, growth, and dedication our students have shown this year with a fun-filled "pool party."
From reading milestones to personal achievements, every student brought something special to our classroom community, and this celebration was a joyful way to recognize their efforts.
The laughter, teamwork, and smiles we saw are a true reflection of the amazing spirit and support that define our classroom family. Thank you to our staff, families, and students for making this school year one to remember!
Here’s to a summer full of sunshine and continued success!

With songs and cheers, our 5th-grade Jaguars celebrated their graduation. As they prepare to transition to the next chapter of their education, they received words of encouragement from our principal, Dr. Locke, and their teachers. The 5th-grade choir also performed a selection about faith before receiving their awards and certificates of completion.

Field Day 2025 was incredible! Thanks to the Mobberly Baptist Church, we had plenty of space for our first through fifth graders to showcase their athletic abilities in over 20 structured events. These events included two water slides and two bouncy houses. Parents, friends, and family also came out to support the kids. Our principal, Dr. Crystal Locke, called the event a great success. We thank Coach Jacobs and all our community partners for their help and support.

The 4th graders at JL. Everhart put their boots on the ground to express their gratitude. They thanked the Longview Foundation for supporting their fabulous field trip. A few months ago, the students received a grant that allowed them to charter a bus to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, Texas. Many students described the educational experience as impactful and said it changed their outlook on science.
Members of the foundation were invited to JL. Everhart to receive a special thank-you from the students, who performed their rendition of "Boots on the Ground." The students also presented tokens of appreciation to the foundation members for providing such a meaningful experience.

Our resource students are glowing and growing! 4th and 5th grade resource students study for the upcoming math STAAR test. Their teachers, Deal and Lee transform their classroom with neon lights for math review. Students wore neon glasses and even played a neon version of tic-tac-Toe as they practice math facts in preparation for STAAR
testing.

Students, Teachers, Families, and Community invited to our 2030 Strategic Plan feedback sessions Tuesday, May 13 at Forest Park Middle School.
